Osoyoos summer winery wedding
I wasn't really sure what to expect for a September desert wedding in Osoyoos, as far the heat factor. But, I can assure you... it was hot. It was a 1 o'clock ceremony outside on the dock of LaStella Winery and the sun was beating down hard. But, the bride and groom looked cool and relaxed the whole day. I...on the other hand, was sneaking into my air-conditioned car for a quick minute or two, every chance I got.
The bride and her girls decided to have a wine tasting at the winery just before the ceremony. And why not... since the ceremony was just steps away from the tasting room and the wine at LaStella Winery, Osoyoos is fantasic! Then off to the dock for the ceremony and vows, followed by photos at the old barn, just a 5 minute drive away. The thing that impressed me about this wedding is that it was planned just a couple weeks before the actual wedding day. Everything fell into place for Mark and Ricki-Marie (I just love her name) which usually doesn't happen that easily with wedding planning. The wedding was kept very small due to the Covid-19 restrictions, and like so many weddings in 2020, zoom played an important role in sharing the ceremony with friends and family that couldn't be present.
I wish you both all the best in your future together back in Vancouver. So nice to have the privilege of being part of your special day.
