kelowna wedding anniversary - M&B

An introduction to me and my hubby.

It feels a bit odd posting about my own wedding anniversary, but I thought it would be a nice way for potential clients to meet me and my family. It was such a beautiful day for photographing gorgeous Okanagan scenes and making good memories. It also gives future clients the idea that photographers aren't just hired for weddings, engagements or family, but anniversaries as well. Wedding anniversaries are milestones in our lives, and so important to remember. I encourage couples to plan a fun day. It could include something that represents who you are as a couple. Or maybe think of something that's a bit unique and out of your comfort zone. But whatever the case, have fun with the day and allow me to capture it as the great day it will be.

Great photographic locations in the Okanagan.

We personally started our day at one of my favourite parks. Fintry Provincial Park and Falls, just outside of Vernon BC. I love the old stone mansion and the adorable wooded area surrounding it. The open grazing field is skirted with gorgeous fall colours and a perfect country wooded fence. Our next location was south, way down to the Osoyoos area. I wanted to explore a dessert scene, which is in contrast to the lush wooded area of Fintry. Of course we had to do some wine tasting along the way. What would an anniversary day be without some good wine tasting in the Oliver wine region. Our favourites of the day were LaStella Winery in Osoyoos and Dessert Hills on the Black Sage Road outside of Oliver BC. We even managed to sneak in an old barn shoot. And lets not forget the wildlife along the way. Big Horn sheep were abundant and happy to pose for my camera.

Every photo here has some special meaning for us. Even the beat up old rose blooms. Unfortunately, Mike and I didn't get too many photos of us together, as I was running back and forth from my camera perched nicely on my tripod. We had a few good laughs about it and I certainly got a workout that day. One thing is for sure. I'm glad we made the effort to capture our anniversary day and I'm sure we'll look back with chuckles every time we peak back at our special day.
